Love and Wooden Boats

17 February 2015

Ever wondered where wooden boat fanatics head to for their summer holiday? The Australian Wooden Boat Festival of course!

Seeped in history, Hobart is the home of the Derwent Hunter and a great reminder of our seafaring past. The Festival spans a long weekend and the entire Hobart waterfront including the famous Constitution Dock where the Sydney to Hobart race finishes.

We found photos of the builder of the Derwent Hunter, Walter Wilson, in the Maritime Museum and even the original Derwent Hunter dinghy used by the CSIRO for research back in the 1950s.

A Weekend of Romance on the High Seas

Our Valentines Day weekend special was very popular, and we had a ball with our fun photo shoots of all the couples on board.

Not just for Valentines Day though, why not spoil someone you love to a romantic sail for your next special occasion?
