Best of the Week

21 October 2014

This week has been another beautiful one in the Whitsundays. The weather is really warming up, and the days are getting longer. We can’t wait for summer!

After a busy school holidays, we took a few days off and gave the old girl a little bit of TLC. She’s 68 years old you know! She was built in 1946 in Tasmania. We’re very proud of her original condition, and this means she requires a little bit of love now and again, a bit of spit and polish, to keep her looking her best.

We’re back in the water this week, ready to take visitors to our region on an adventure through the islands.

RACT Journeys Magazine

RACT (that’s the RACQ in Tasmania) visited us a little while ago and published this lovely article about a trip on our beautiful ship.

“The sky is a perfectly brilliant shade of blue, contrasting against the white sails and polished timber decking of our majestic ship, which is skimming through the glistening green water of the Coral Sea at a respectable yet relaxing pace.

“Calm ocean stretches as far as the eye can see, interrupted only by the occasional jumping fish, passing boats and regular sightings of the 74 Whitsunday Islands in the distance…”

Review of the Week

Smiles all round, from the moment we boarded the boat till when we hopped off! The staff were professional, approachable and made every attempt in ensuring we had the most memorable day. We had the opportunity to help set the sails and really experience what its like to sail a historical Tallship.

The food, where do I start? It was delicious plentiful and excellently catered to special dietary requirements.

Two beautiful snorkeling locations the BEST I have experienced, we were dropped at beaches on both of these locations allowing us time to make our own way in with staff on look out to ensure we were having a great and safe time in the water and the TURTLES!!!! OMG so many and so beautiful!!

It was truly a magical once and a life time trip, would highly recommend to anyone and everyone

Thank you Derwent Hunter for an experience I will never forget :)”
