It's turtle mating season! We love our turtles here at Derwent Hunter, we seem them every day, and quite frequently get to swim with them too!

We had some rather special visitors this week, some of Bernal Cuthbertson's family, one of the previous owners of the Derwent Hunter, and instrumental in saving the ship from certain destruction. Bern bought the Hunter back in 1977 and then fully restored her to her former glory.

With the launch of the movie 'Finding Dory' just recently, Nemo's forgetful sidekick is now in the spotlight. We quite often see blue tangs around our favourite reef spots. And we discuss a hot topic this summer, what is the go with coral bleaching?

We've created a Winter Sun Special for travel during July, August and September. Come and enjoy this magical time of year with us on the mighty Derwent Hunter. Winter is so beautiful in the Whitsundays, and we've been getting some really hot days with beautiful sunshine. The water's lovely and inviting, it's still around 23 degrees in!
