A change is in the winds for Tall Ship Adventures…

Derwent Hunter Tours Her Home Waters

It is with much excitement that we announce the Derwent Hunter will be touring south and returning to her old stomping grounds of Hobart for a southern sabbatical and promotional cruise.

We are constantly asked by her southern followers if she would return to Tasmania at some point, and now it is confirmed that she will cruise south at the end of January to coincide with all the activity of various wooden boat shows on her way down the coast before arriving to Constitution Dock. Derwent Hunter will return to northern waters later in 2020.

Derwent Hunter will be available for day guests to sail the Whitsunday waters until 19 January 2020.

Cruising into 2020

We often hear delightful feedback from guests who have experienced Derwent Hunter first hand, that they ‘wish they had more time out there’. This comment seems largely born of the fantastic itinerary the day cruise offers passengers, including iconic Whitsunday islands coupled with snorkelling under classic sail.

Well, good news!

For those who loved the itinerary and the classic sailing experience the Derwent Hunter offered, this same schedule will be offered on a 2 day 1 night charter aboard sister ship Alexander Stewart.

Guests are invited to enjoy this overnight Whitsunday adventure aboard this magnificent handcrafted timber masterpiece, with all the modern comforts including air-conditioning and nine private cabins, and is ideal for couples or twin share.

The itinerary will include the iconic experiences as they were offered aboard the Derwent, such as exploring the stunning Whitsundays Islands and snorkelling throughout various picturesque underwater locations.

We look forward to welcoming your guests aboard the Alexander Stewart, as Derwent Hunter spreads the word of the Whitsundays as she cruises south.
